We are looking for a Claims Adjuster – Inland Marine. This role can be located in either our O’Fallon, MO or Alpharetta, GA offices.

You will be working with a small but diverse team of claims professionals of various experience levels and backgrounds, in a collegial and supportive atmosphere that values individual strengths and encourages professional development and participation in industry leadership.
The Impact You Will Have
The Inland Marine Claims Adjuster will be responsible for the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of low to medium complexity and value claim files that may involve litigation.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Investigation and Reserving of Claims: Assisting, supporting, contributing , driving tasks and topics, and decision authority
Directing and/or performing investigation, evaluation, negotiation and disposition of claims that are typically issue and medically oriented of a low to moderate nature. Successful accomplishment requires innovative, cost effective strategies and administrative skills to achieve optimum resolution.
Adjusting assigned claims involving low to moderate value and complexity
Developing proper claim handling procedures to include input from underwriters, brokers and insureds.
Managing a select number of accounts for Allianz, which requires awareness of the client’s needs in light of the risk environment which may affect the client.
Traveling to loss locations to assist in the damage / loss appraisal, and likewise to collaborate with public and private officials relative to the remedial services needed.
Provision of claim status reports to brokers or other pertinent parties to the claim loss.
Managing claim reserves, adequately establishing reserves within Company standards and review periodically as circumstances dictate.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
Minimum of 2-3 years in a Claims department performing Claims related function including investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and disposition.
Account audit participation experience
Experience using the MS Office Suite of products
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
Insurance related education - IIA, CPCU, Associate in Claims, Claims Law preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organization skills.
Ability to make strong educated decisions.
A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential.
Analytical, decision making and resource management skills.
Prior marketing, public relations, public speaking experience preferred.
The annualized base pay range for this role is $63,668 - $108,509. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
