Job description

We are looking for a Developer / DevOps Engineer to join our teams and contribute to the design, development, and modernization of applications that meet business needs

Scope of Work:

• Support the modernization of analytics applications by migrating and decommissioning legacy systems and technologies.
• Contribute to the reduction of costs and complexity by streamlining platforms and removing duplication.
• Migrate functionalities and data to modern platforms supporting advanced analytics and reporting
  
  

Profile Sought:
Professional with expertise in:

• IT tools and technologies
• Design, configuration, implementation, development, maintenance, and problem resolution of standard or client-specific customised software applications
• Software development, deployment, and support life cycles
• Writing technical specifications, technical design documents, and requirement analysi
  
  

Furthermore, they should demonstrate:

• Competencies in state-of-the-art methodologies for software development (e.g., Agile).
• Ability to comprehend logical database models and their impact/interconnections on the application and overall architecture
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, configure, and maintain applications and data pipelines aligned with business needs.
• Support migration from legacy technologies to modern data and reporting platforms.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and stability of applications throughout their lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement

• Databases & ETL: SAS, Oracle, DB2, PL/SQL, DataStage
• Languages & Processing: Python, Spark, Cobol, JCL

Expected Competencies:

• Strong experience in development, migration, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of both legacy and modern data/BI technologies.
• Ability to design, implement, and optimize scalable applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to performance and efficiency.
• Comfortable working in Agile and DevOps environments.
