Job description
We are looking for a Developer / DevOps Engineer to join our teams and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of applications that meet business needs.
Scope of Work:
Enable business lines to meet their challenges in the critical area of customer relations, while staying within budget, maintaining quality, and meeting fixed milestones.
Profile Sought
Professional with expertise in:
- IT tools and technologies
- Design, configuration, implementation, development, maintenance, and problem resolution of standard or client-specific customised software applications
- Software development, deployment, and support life cycles
- Writing technical specifications, technical design documents, and requirement analysis
Furthermore, they should demonstrate:
- Competencies in state-of-the-art methodologies for software development (e.g., Agile).
- Ability to comprehend logical database models and their impact/interconnections on the application and overall architecture
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, configure, and maintain applications in line with business requirements.
- Ensure stability, performance, and quality throughout the software lifecycle.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of applications.
- Contribute in an Agile/Scrum environment, promoting collaboration and innovation
Technologies Covered:
- Databases & Processing: DB2, Oracle, SAS, ETL
- Languages & Tools: Cobol, JCL, PL/SQL, DataStage, Microstrategy
Expected Competencies:
- Strong experience in application development and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of both traditional and modern software development tools.
- Ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
