About the Job
The ideal candidate should be a experienced DevOps with extensive knowledge in operation applications in a cloud environment in a DevOps Style and additionally knowledge of modern programming languages, preferably Java, Kotlin or Javacript.
What you do
· Manage and optimize cloud-based applications using DevOps practices to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance, with a focus on automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
· Collaborate with development teams to implement modern programming languages (such as Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript) in a cloud environment, ensuring seamless integration between application development and deployment.
· Drive the adoption of DevOps principles across the organization, including automation, monitoring and security best practices, while mentoring junior team members and fostering continuous learning within the team.
What you bring
· Administration of relational DBs (Postgres), web servers, load balancers, web application firewalls and certificates.
· Experience with Message Broker/Event Streaming tools like Kafka/MQ and proficiency in modern programming languages like Java, Kotlin, or Javascript (latest versions).
· Knowledge of solution and cloud architecture, development patterns and frameworks like Spring, as well as Test-Driven Development.
· DevOps mindset ("you build it, you run it"), awareness of clean code, and strong knowledge of design patterns and coding principles, along with sensitivity to security concerns.
· Knowledge of agile principles, experience in long-running agile projects, self-motivation, eagerness to learn and proficiency in English (B2+). Proficiency in German (B2+) is a plus.
· Administration of Kubernetes and Istio ( 3+ years ), experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Packer, and Crossplan ( 3+ years ) and working knowledge of AWS.
· CI/CD automation experience (Jenkins, ideally also Github Actions – 3+ years ) and Dynatrace experience.
