Join our team as:
Structure Design Engineer - Approve (d/w/m)
You will be part of our dedicated team of development engineers in the fuselage area for the primary/secondary structure of our aircraft. We take care of the continuous development of structural components for all Airbus aircraft programs and their derivatives. You will therefore be involved with your expertise from the concept study through detailed design to certification.
Your tasks:

You develop the design of metal/composite/hybrid components and assemblies and optimize them with regard to various aspects: weight, costs, performance but also with regard to production and/or assembly requirements

You evaluate design changes and estimate the effort required to implement them. You always ensure compliance with regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and guidelines

According to the release process you guarantee the quality and airworthiness of our products with your role and responsibility.

You work closely with our engineering partners and suppliers and manage their activities
·
You think independently and actively about improvements and innovations in the field of digitalization and automation, develop appropriate suggestions and implement them taking all stakeholders and regulations into account

You work in multifunctional teams together with structural analysis, production, program, project, config, systems, communicate actively and always find the best solution together with everyone
This is what you bring to the table:

Qualification: You have successfully completed a technical degree or have acquired comparable training in another way
·
Expertise: You have at least a basic understanding of metal, composite & hybrid design principles and best practices in design and have manufacturing and assembly experience including tolerance definition. You also have basic project management knowledge and have already gained experience with agile working methods

Toolset: You are familiar with PASS SSCI, CATIA V5, VPM, APS, ICC-ACP and the Google Suite and have already actively worked with them

Language skills: Your business-fluent German and English are the key to the job and make it easier for you to work with our international partners

Personality: You are constantly looking for ways to improve, be it in digitalization or for our daily processes. You find it easy to bring different stakeholders together through skillful communication in order to work out solutions together. Your team and shared success are important to you and you strive for joint and sustainable development. But you never lose sight of the results and our customers
