If you are interested in Flight Operational software design around military aircrafts, this job could interest you. We develop and maintain Flight Operational SW for more than 600 flying Military Transport Aircraft (MRTT, A400M and Medium and Light fleet).
Our SW Portfolio is oriented to provide on-ground and in-flight solutions to Performance and W&B responsible, Pilots, Loadmasters, AROs and Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Administrators.
The successful applicant will join an agile team developing the full Flight Operational SW solution portfolio including: Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), A/C Performance, W&B, EFB management SW as well as Flight Operations Manuals authoring SW support.
Tasks:
· Analysis of the use cases and needs in close cooperation with the various stakeholders of Flight Operational SW team.
· Ability to understand user workflows and define SW and GUI solutions using specific technologies to support and enhance different steps throughout the Flight Ops SW production.
· Definition and realization of software architectures and the ability to evaluate different architectural solutions and choose the best solution.
· Design and implementation of Flight Operations SW solutions with the support of state-of-the-art technologies such as WebAssembly, Cordova, Angular, Ionic, Javascript, Eclipse, VS Code and Microsoft Visual Studio.
· Creation of the required software documentation according to Company Software Development Standards
· Preparation and execution of software tests to satisfy the different levels of verification and validation. Integration of activities in the Software Development Lifecycle. Develop according to Software Development Plan and accompanied Standards.
About You & Required Skills:
· University degree in computer science or equivalent qualification
· Senior software developer with experience in:
· SQL and MySQL databases and data management systems
· Application frameworks such as Angular, Cordova.
· Technologies: WebAssembly, ARINC-665 and Plugins development, Eclipse and Visual Studio Code as an IDE for Typescript.
· Proven experience in:
· Airbus Flight Operational SW development (FLYSMART, PAADMIN, GATEWAY and eQRH)
· The development of EFB Auditable software by EASA according to the applicable regulations (AMC 20-25A)
· Technologies used for EFB configuration control (MDM) and data communication between Ground and EFB
· Technologies used and state-of-the-art of EFB solutions
· Object-oriented analysis and design using UML
· Hybrid mobile app development Experience with GUI design for specialized / custom web applications
· Good communication skills, a proactive mindset and high teamwork
· Experience with agile SW development processes and methods
· Fluent in English is required.
