We have an exciting opportunity to grow your Industrial career and experience and earning potential in an innovative Global Aerospace Leader Airbus in Broughton on the beautiful Welsh Cheshire border.
As a Process Performance Engineer you will be able to gain experience in complete wing structural and systems assembly, working as part of a passionate team of 12. We are a mixture of experts in Industrial Engineering build philosophies from first principles and operational assembly timing to rating techniques on all new and existing Airbus aircraft.
You will be part of a diverse and inclusive team who value different ways of thinking and working to achieve the correct technical solution agreed with the customers.
Tasks & accountabilities
As the Process Performance Engineer, some of the tasks and responsibilities you can expect may include;
- Honing your core Industrial Engineering competencies to complement new digitalisation opportunities in wing assembly.
- The creation and continuous development of the Industrial Engineering system.
- Providing world class Industrial Optimisation techniques in aerospace wing assembly.
- Meeting challenging targets to meet rate ramp up to customer demands.
- Providing the expertise to continuously improve assembly line efficiencies.
The tasks will be varied from and require you to draw on all your leadership skills from a technical, project management and communications perspective.
This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
Required skills
As the successful candidate you must be able to demonstrate the following;
- Educated to Degree level in the relevant field or Higher Professional Education with appropriate proven level of work experience.
- Technical competence in Industrial Engineering.
- A sound understanding of Lean working methodologies.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Excellent communications skills, with English at negotiation level (additional languages would be a benefit).
- Motivated by personal performance and customer satisfaction through constant feedback.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
- A genuine desire to grow and learn as well as contribute positively to a team orientated work environment.
- An understanding of wing configuration, product structures and systems would be beneficial but not essential.
