A vacancy for a System Engineer (d/f/m) Flight Recording and Aircraft Localisation has arisen within Airbus at the earliest possible start date.
What we do
Our team is responsible for the Recording and Aircraft Localisation System. It comprises the capture of flight recordings in the so-called “Black Box”, the related data management and a new aircraft tracking function. This function automatically identifies if an aircraft is in an emergency and sends an alert to ground via a dedicated satellite link. We keep evolving the system for example with projects on ejectable recorders and satellite based recording. Also, we support airlines in operating the system and in troubleshooting. Our team and our products are one of the significant pillars of the aircraft accident and incident investigations.
What will be your tasks in the team

Specifying new or improved functions for the system
·
Collaborating with other teams and technology supplier companies
·
Taking a sub-system ownership; coordinating changes; ensuring consistency
·
Supporting airlines in tackling in-service issues
What we expect
·
You should have a degree in engineering, science or equivalent
·
You have experience in Project Management
·
You should be enthusiastic about avionics or similar technologies
·
You should be business fluent in English and have some international experience
·
First industry insight in a relevant field is an advantage, but not a must
·
Experience in Project Management is a plus
