Description of the job

A vacancy for a Industrial Architect (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Hamburg at the earliest possible start date. You will join Systems & Cabin Architecture.

Your objective as Industrial Architect (d/f/m) is to deliver an optimized Industrial System concept compliant with requirements, the plan to verify and validate this concept, and the cascade of all the associated requirements for the detailed Industrial System definition. You will be applicable to all new Aircraft Projects and Programmes, including derivatives and major modifications of an existing Aircraft Programme. You will work with all engineering and manufacturing site teams (internal or external) including supply chain from early phase of the development up to final acceptance, including mitigation plan if needed.

Tasks & accountabilities

What will you do?

- Leading projects as wells as all integration and test activities.
- Encompassing early activities of development for designing industrial system aligned with the overall industrial strategy.
- Working with the existing team and within aligned activities providing support.
- Designing and delivering Industrial System Architecture.
- Delivering specification for the development of the industrial system.
- Providing input into the Technical Assumptions and Deliverables for Supplier contracts.
- Leading the development of non-specific processes in conjunction with R&T and Design Engineering.
- Leading the Manufacturing Engineering work stream transversal activities for non-specific processes.
- Creating and manage a forum for challenging Design Engineering strategy and direction which affects non-specific processes.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

What do you bring?

- You have a degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing) or equivalent
- You bring longstanding leadership and stakeholder management skills
- You have proven Project Management experience
- You are a team player, work customer-oriented and have excellent communication skills
- You enjoy working in a multicultural environment
- You have a negotiation level of English, ideally you speak other languages such as German and French
