Job Description
Waiter/ess
This role involves delivering outstanding guest service by addressing needs and handling inquiries professionally, while maintaining high standards of appearance and performance in line with departmental procedures. You will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage offerings, ensure adherence to safety and sanitation policies, and collaborate with supervisors to train and support new team members. The aim is to exceed guest expectations, contribute to a motivated and efficient team, and uphold hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities:
· Guest Service : Provide excellent guest service by assisting with various queries, identifying and addressing guest needs promptly, effectively, and confidently. Offer professional, friendly, and engaging service while informing guests about menu items and handling complaints in accordance with standard procedures.
· Operational Responsibilities : Report for duty as scheduled, ensuring a clean and tidy appearance, wearing the correct uniform and name badge, and signing the attendance record at the start and end of each shift. Work across all areas of the Food & Beverage Department to consistently exceed guest expectations and maintain standards, while adhering to outlet policies, procedures, and service standards. Assist with additional responsibilities or duties as required by the supervisor or in the absence of team members.
· Product Knowledge : Be fully conversant with all Food & Beverage department policies and procedures, and have comprehensive knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, menu items, garnishes, ingredients, and preparation methods.
· Health & Safety and Team Development : Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages, while ensuring proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the primary workplace language(s). Once fully competent, collaborate with the Supervisor and Head Waiter to provide on-the-job training and coaching for new staff, helping to develop a highly skilled and motivated team. Follow all hotel policies and procedures.
Qualifications
· Previous experience in a similar role in Food & Beverage operations is an asset; experience in remote locations is a plus.
· Familiar with PMS Micros.
· Good communication skills in English.
· Strong interpersonal abilities and a passion for Food & Beverage.
· Ability to work well under pressure.
