Job Description

Operational

PORCH:

·  Keeps an eye for any banned / unwanted person entering the lobby.
·  Inform AMS/SM/SD about any VIP movement in the lobby / hotel.
·  To be located generally in the lobby.
·  To ensure and coordinate an uninterrupted regular and smooth flow of traffic through the porch with Front office Team.
·  To ensure that no car is permitted to wait in the porch for long periods (5-6 minutes during peak hours and 10-15 minutes during dull periods. Cars with guests sitting inside may be permitted waiting for longer period however ensure they are waiting for more guest to come.
·  To ensure that no car is permitted to be locked in the porch.
·  No taxis are permitted to be parked/ waiting in the porch unless the driver is awaiting payment from a guest.
·  To ensure that there should be no car keys inside the cars awaiting handling by the car valets, Keys should be with the Security Guard/SA/Valet on duty.
·  No haphazard parking of cars should take place in or along the porch approach / exit, which could cause obstruction in movement of traffic in the porch subsequently.
·  To ensure that guest is given valet docket against the car key(s) by the valet and exterior/interior of the vehicle is checked to see any damage/suspicious item lying in the car before parking the car. In case of any issue, same should be informed to the Guest.
·  To ensure that Valet is handing over the car to the right guest after checking and matching the valet docket serial number. (As Per Valet Parking LSOP)
·  To ensure that no hotel property is taken out from/through the porch except for guest.
·  Assist the Guest with their luggage or any other requirement/need of the guest.
·  To over-see, handle and report all guests related problems or any unusual incident/happening observed/seen in the porch area to the AMS/SM/SD immediately.

MAIN  SERVICE/ASSOCIATE GATE:

·  No associate leaves in complete / part uniform
·  To ensure that no haphazard parking or like takes place near the gate which could cause obstruction.
·  To ensure that unauthorized person goes into the Diesel Yard.
·  To ensure that Frisking & vehicle checking procedure is followed by the team deployed at Associate gate.
·  To ensure that Material and Visitor/vendor Gate Pass Procedures are followed by the deployed team members.
·  Sales & Staff Vehicles movement procedure is followed by the Security Team Members deployed at Gate.
·  Ensure that all records are maintained and deposited at Security Control Room on Daily/Weekly/Monthly Basis.
·  To ensure that no posters are permitted to be posted on neither hotel perimeter wall, nor any wall writings are permitted to be made.
·  To ensure that no one is taking picture/noting/noticing the Security Checking procedure at the gate and approach the person if found someone doing the same.

MAIN ENTRANCE HOTEL BUILDING: ENTRY /EXIT

·  To ensure uninterrupted, regular and smooth flow of vehicular traffic towards the porch through this gate.
·  To ensure that no bicycles or any other load carrying vehicles are permitted to enter through this gate.
·  To restrict and stop all outward associate vehicular movement from this gate. Individual guests / visitors, EXCOM and Sales team if accompanied by guest are only permitted to move through this gate.        
·  To ensure that no posters are permitted to be posted on neither hotel perimeter wall, nor any wall writings are permitted to be made.
·  To ensure that no individuals collect or group, in and around the main entrance area unnecessarily.
·  To ensure that no one is taking picture of Security Checking procedure and approach the person if found someone doing the same.
·  To ensure that no hotel property is taken out from this gate. In event of any exception to this rule the Security Director will give prior intimation.
·  To ensure that no haphazard parking takes place outside or around the main entrance which could cause obstruction in the flow of traffic.

RECEIVING BAY

·  To organize and ensure a coordinated inward/outward movement of vehicular traffic, material and supplies and suppliers / contractors and their staff into the receiving area.  No clustering of vehicles or bunching of persons/stores should take place to keep the area free from having used as parking space.
·  To ensure that all the items going in are checked through the Cargo Scanner/Mobile tracer.
·  To oversee and ensure that all stores going out from this area (other than those already in the vehicle meant for other hotels / areas) are thoroughly in the vehicle and cleared as under :-

a) All hotels stores and including empties against formal authorized gate pass.

b) Supplies and stores brought in by the Suppliers: Against formal authorized gate-passes refracting stores as rejected, supplier’s material / property / contractor property etc.

·  To restrict movement of unauthorized persons in this area and to restrict their workers from entering in the hotel areas beyond receiving area without a formal visitor pass and escorted by the Department representative.
·  To oversee the replacement of empty crates of soft drinks bottles, strictly as per the specific gate pass issued.  To ensure that no extra empties are loaded on to the truck by the supplier staff or even by one of the hotel staff either in a deliberate or even a clandestine manner.
·  Not to permit any naked fire in the receiving area.
·  To report all stores supplies etc left inside the receiving area unattended after closing of receiving for the day.

Guest Floors & Heart of the House:

·  To ensure that no luggage is lying in the Corridor. Incase, of luggage, Bell Desk is informed.
·  No room is lying open unattended.
·  No unauthorized person roaming around in the property.
·  Vendor/Visitor carrying authorized pass.

Team Management

·  Should be unbiased with all associates.
·  Should not be a part discreetly/ indiscreetly or promote any approach which can lead to unhealthy working environment of team.
·  Security Executive will be in charge of training the Security associates on emergency procedures and other SOPs i.e. Fire / First-aid /Bomb Threat / Natural Calamities/Gate Pass procedures etc.
·  Security Executive will be responsible for nominating Security Associates for Hotel Trainings as and when required.
·  Security Executive will be responsible of ensuring that team members understand operational needs and deliver the expected outcomes.
·  Security Executive will be responsible for team performance and reports to ASM/ SM/ SD on progress of each & every associate as and when required.
