What you’ll do
We are looking for an experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Excutive Pastry Chef, you'll be supporting our all-day dining business, offering breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and other dining experiences:
· Using your skill and experience, you will be crucial in ensuring our Pastry kitchen continues to excel in producing the most creative and innovative products
· Operating, as an amazing team player, both hands-on in the Pastry kitchen, and supporting the Executive Pastry Chef in line managing the team and supporting the entire brigade
· Maintaining a can-do and problem-solving attitude, you will be passionate about the highest possible standards and will have great eye for detail
· Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us 5 star in every way
· Bringing delicious, creative and bespoke flavours and creations to our guests’ tables.
· Making sure our operation runs without hitch, orders and deliveries are coming and going as needed, our service is smooth and our food hygiene standards are sky-high.
Qualifications
What we are looking for...
· One to two years’ experience as a Pastry Sous Chef preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel/restaurant.
· Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail.
· Passion for Pastry is a given; you’ve worked hard to perfect your craft and you have a huge appetite to continue learning from the best in the business.
· You’re all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience.
· You make people feel good - your team, guests and colleagues alike.
· Organization and all over detail.
