As a Shift Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our facility's operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of equipment and systems, and responding to technical issues promptly.

Job Description

Main Duties.

·  Operate, monitor, and maintain plant equipment, including AHUs, boilers, chillers, and other mechanical systems
·  Respond quickly and efficiently to repair requests from guests and departments
·  Perform regular inspections of designated plant rooms, reporting defects and maintaining cleanliness
·  Serve as the first point of contact for job requests from other departments
·  Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and supplies, reporting restocking needs to supervisors
·  Communicate effectively about ongoing repairs, including timelines and any unforeseen delays
·  Maintain a clean and organized work environment, using appropriate signage when necessary
·  Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure smooth facility operations
·  Participate in rotating shift schedules, including night shifts, to provide 24/7 coverage
·  Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing duties
·  Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order management and reporting
·  Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency

Qualifications

·  Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
·  3-5 years of engineering experience in a similar role
·  Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including basic plumbing and electrical work
·  Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and plant equipment (AHUs, boilers, chillers, etc.)
·  Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
·  Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
·  Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
·  Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
·  Keen attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
·  Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
·  Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, as part of a rotating schedule
·  Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in industrial settings
·  Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
·  Physical capability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions
