Job Description

The Senior Leisure Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing and developing new business opportunities within the consortia, leisure, and potential business travel segments across SLS Baha Mar. The role focuses on acquiring new accounts, nurturing existing relationships, and working collaboratively with the sales team to exceed revenue targets. The manager will also develop and implement action plans, negotiate contracts, and maintain a strong client portfolio.

DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:

·  Lead sales efforts within key leisure markets, including consortia and business travel segments.
·  Generate 50-75 qualified prospects weekly through strategic outreach, including sales calls, networking, and market research.
·  Build and maintain a robust client base through proactive sales activities such as cold calling, direct mail, referrals, and sales blitzes.
·  Manage relationships with key travel agency accounts, providing personalized service and tailored solutions to ensure client satisfaction and account growth.
·  Independently identify, solicit, and secure new business opportunities, leveraging market insights and lead generation tools.
·  Analyze occupancy and booking trends, targeting specific periods with focused sales and marketing strategies to close gaps (30/60/90-day windows).
·  Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel offerings, rate structures, and promotions to effectively negotiate rates and close deals.
·  Draft and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with hotel policies while maximizing revenue potential.
·  Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the seamless execution of bookings and exceptional guest experiences.
·  Represent SLS Baha Mar at industry events, trade shows, and business meetings to strengthen brand presence and generate new leads.
·  Track performance against sales goals, providing regular updates and reports to senior leadership.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Provide clear communication and direction to internal teams, ensuring alignment on sales strategies and client expectations.
·  Remain calm and professional during high-pressure situations, leading by example and providing guidance to colleagues when necessary.
·  Stay actively involved in key community organizations, fostering relationships that can benefit the hotel’s visibility and market positioning.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

·  Attend mandatory meetings, including divisional and staff meetings, to stay informed of company initiatives and strategies.
·  Participate in community events and uphold SLS’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.
·  Ensure compliance with company policies related to data security and confidentiality.
·  Utilize and stay proficient in key software programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, CRS, GDS) to manage sales processes and maintain organized records.

OTHER DUTIES

·  Assimilate into SLS’s culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all SLS elements. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.
·  Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by SLS from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
·  Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

Qualifications

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

·  Minimum of two years in hotel sales, preferably within the upscale or lifestyle segment.
·  Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent industry experience will be considered.
·  Strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals, with deep knowledge of sales strategies and market positioning.
·  Ability to understand client needs and provide customized sales solutions, building long-term partnerships.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and clients.
·  Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities, able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
·  Proficient in sales systems and CRM tools (e.g., Delphi, Lanyon, Agency360, Windows Office, CRS, GDS) to track and manage sales activities.
·  Willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule, as required by business demands.

OTHER

Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
