Job Description

·  $26.78 per hour (plus a Night Duty Allowance)
·  Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed

About us

Situated on a unique vantage point with breath taking views over Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Mountain range, Mercure Queenstown Resort offers 148 guests rooms, two restaurants, a lounge bar and conference facilities.  We are growing our diverse team and are looking for a Guest Service Agent/Porter to join our front office team.

About the role

As a Night Guest Service Agent/Porter, you’ll be at the heart of delivering outstanding guest experiences.  Your role will involve providing top-notch service, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable stay.  Key responsibilities include:

·  Support the smooth operations of the front office department, including reception duties, providing exceptional lobby services and ensuring security functions are maintained.
·  Assist guests with their luggage, manage lost property and oversee storage.
·  Maintain cleanliness and organisation of public areas to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

We are looking for someone who brings energy, professionalism, and a commitment to exceptional service.  To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have:

·  A team-oriented mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships in a fast-paced environment.
·  A results-driven approach and the ability to deliver consistently high-quality customer service.
·  Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and engagement skills.
·  Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness and organisation in public areas.
·  Capable of handling luggage and performing manual tasks.
·  Previous experience with Opera/Opera Cloud/RTBS (desirable but not essential).
·  Flexibility to work between the hours of 10pm and 6:30am on a 7 day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
