Job Description
Are you passionate about keeping operations running smoothly and creating exceptional guest experiences?
Join our team as a Maintenance Manager, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring our hotel remains well-maintained for guests! In this role, you will oversee the upkeep of all hotel facilities, managing repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance programs. You will also lead a small team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, maintain key systems such as HVAC, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Additionally, your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Maintain records of repair work and daily checks as required by local Council, Government and manufacturer specifications.
· Liaise closely with front desk and housekeeping regarding out of order rooms to expedite a quick turn around and return to inventory.
· Research, recommend and liaise with the General Manager regarding procedures to improve the overall efficiency of the department and to carry out project work/prepare reports as requested by the General Manager.
· Ensure the external areas of the hotel are neat, tidy and maintained in line with company brand standards.
· Be actively involved in the hotel's WHS Committee.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following:
· A background in Maintenance or Engineering
· Minimum 2 years of relevant experience supervising a maintenance function within a large complex
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and Opera
· Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to make sound decisions and understand commercial implications
· An ability to think strategically and plan on a mid to long term scale
· Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills
