Pullman & Mercure Brisbane King George Square is a large vibrant 438 room twin towered hotel which acts as a sanctuary for leisure and business travellers as well as a place to be with our external facing Venues. Located opposite King George Square, City Hall and ideally situated in the heart of Brisbane CBD the hotel has some of the largest conference spaces in Brisbane incorporating 2 ballrooms.

The hotel also features some amazing and extremely popular externally facing venues including Goldfinch Restaurant and Street Café, Sixteen Antlers Rooftop Bar as well as internal facing KG Bar, Expresso Bar and our Executive Lounge

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic & proactive Maintenance Manager to assist with the management of our engineering team & ongoing projects.  In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Engineer, demonstrating the ability to effectively manage priorities and maintain composure under pressure. 
 

Your main responsibilities are:

·  Drive the productivity of the team to plan and carry out preventative maintenance and general repairs throughout the hotel to ensure standards are maintained for guest comfort.
·  Assist with contractor management
·  Ensuring the hotel upholds OH&S and fire safety responsibilities.
·  Assist with quarterly audit reporting and monthly maintenance reporting.
·  Maintaining records of repair work and daily checks as required
·  Working closely with other departments to ensure minimal impact of repairs and maintenance on operations.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

·  A relevant trade qualification
·  Experience in leading a team
·  Exceptional communication skills
·  Experience in management of a maintenance function within a large multistorey complex.
·  Exceptional organisational skills
·  A hands on approach to problem solving
