Job Description
· Greet and welcome guests upon their arrival at the restaurant.
· Provide guests with menus and inform them of their server’s name.
· Manage and organize seating arrangements to accommodate reservations and walk-ins.
· Address guest inquiries or concerns regarding seating, reservations, and dining experiences.
· Handle all incoming reservations through phone, email, or online booking systems.
· Maintain an updated reservation book or system, ensuring accurate records of guest information and special requests.
· Coordinate with the restaurant and kitchen staff to ensure table availability and proper seating flow.
· Escort guests to their tables in a timely and professional manner.
· Monitor the dining area to ensure tables are properly set and guests are promptly seated.
· Manage waiting lists efficiently, providing guests with accurate wait times and offering beverages while they wait.
· Ensure guests feel comfortable and attended to while waiting for their table.
· Assist in resolving any guest issues or complaints, escalating them to management as needed.
· Provide information about the menu, daily specials, and hotel amenities when asked.
· Ensure the entrance, waiting area, and dining room are clean, organized, and inviting at all times.
· Oversee the presentation of the hostess stand, menus, and promotional materials.
· Report any maintenance or cleanliness issues to the appropriate department.
