The 5 star hotel at Sydney Airport brings contemporary style and functional design with a smart open layout and 229 rooms and suites. The hotel offers a fantastic food and beverage product with Mobius Bar & Grill located on premise. The hotel delivers a creative space for creative thinkers and discerning entrepreneurs via 3 conference rooms and 2 executive lounges.
Job Description
· Drive sales to ensure conversion targets are achieved and monitor success on a monthly basis
· Liaise with the entire operations team to ensure high quality, impeccable service and experience is provided
· Provide quotations for conference and events proposals covering venue, function, menu and accommodation costs ensuring revenue is maximized
· Oversee the overall coordination of events and conferences
· Ensure there is an active presence in the hotel as required by business demands or client and team member needs
· Maintain effective communication with the Director of Sales
This is a part-time 4 days in a week role - there is flexibility around the days.
Qualifications
· Experience working with Delphi and Opera preferred
· Extensive experience in Hotel Conference Sales with a strong commercial acumen
· Confident and articulate communication, negotiation and networking skills
· You will be motivated, organised, and outgoing by nature with the drive to continually learn and progress your career
· Strong attention to detail
· Full working rights in Australia
· Able to work on-site
