Job Description
Job Title: Bell Clerk (Part-Time)
Hourly Rate: $25.09
Taking care of the big things and the little things is what we do. As a Bell Clerk, multi-tasking skills and aloha spirit will be well-utilized as you coordinate the activities of our Arrival Team and provide engaging service to our guests.
What you will be doing:
· Coordinate activities of the Arrival Team
· Answer all incoming calls and accurately transfer callers to the appropriate extensions according to the resort’s standards
· Communicate internal and external guest requests via applicable resort software
· Maintain accurate records of all internal and external guest requests and follow-up with the necessary department and/or guests in the pre-determined time frame
· Assist Front Office with administrative duties as required
· Check work stations for necessary equipment and set up and replenish as needed
· Assist in providing parking options
· Check service stations for necessary equipment and set up: water, lei, towels, etc. as needed
· Maintaining communication of up to date, accurate information between guests, staff, management and our partners on a daily basis
· Able to share information about the resort and activities, island activities, restaurants, and other information as it pertains to guests
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
· Minimum of one year experience in the Hotel Industry, preferably in a high guest contact role
· Service focused personality is essential; customer related experience an asset
· Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
· Must be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externally
· Must possess basic computational ability
· Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail functions
· Must be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented in a fast paced, high volume environment
· Must have ability to work independently and to prioritize or seek clarification in prioritizing work assignments
Licenses or Certificates
· Must have and be able to maintain a valid Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract
Education
· High School diploma and/or vocational training
· A Degree in Hotel/Hospitality or Tourism is an asset
