Banquets Captain

Our Banquets Captains are an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our food and beverage experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge while overseeing the daily food and beverage operations in your outlet ensure guests feel unique and valued. 

This is a full-time, permanent position, starting as soon as possible .

Starting Pay Rate:  $19.00 per hour.

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $23.35.

Job Duties:

·  Ensure an overall smooth operation throughout the Banquets department
·  Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
·  Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items and preparation methods
·  Provide motivation and support to all team members
·  Provide support to the Banquets management team as required

Qualifications

·  Previous supervisory experience an asset
·  Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
·  Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
·  Proven leadership, motivational, decision making, and problem solving skills
·  BC Serving It Right Certificate required prior to commencing employment
·  Required to be of legal age (19 years old) to serve alcohol in British Columbia

Additional Information

Visa Requirements : Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
