The Assistant Director of Sales at Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach plays a pivotal role in driving the hotel's revenue and market presence. Focused on maximizing sales opportunities, they lead and support the sales team, foster client relationships, and strategise to meet ambitious growth targets. With a proactive approach, the Assistant Director of Sales partners with clients to position the hotel as the preferred choice for luxury accommodations, events, and partnerships.
Job Description

· Lead and mentor the sales team to meet and exceed revenue targets across all market segments
· Plan, refine and execute sales strategies to maximize room occupancy, event bookings, and corporate partnerships
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, identifying new business and fostering ongoing connections
· Work closely with the Marketing Manager to align the Sales strategy and capitalise on brand initatives
· Analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities and drive competitive strategies
· Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the Hotel's goals are met
· Represent Sofitel Gold Coast at key industry events and networking to enhance brand visibility and drive business
Qualifications
What you will bring to the role:
· You present with a luxury attitude and elevated EQ
· Previous experience in a sales management role essential, ideally in luxury hospitality or a related industry
· Demonstrated success in developing and executing revenue-generating strategies
· Ability to thrive in a target-driven environment being accountable for your teams overall performance
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent relationship management
· Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
· Knowledge and ability to operate Opera Cloud Software and various CRM software
