VIE - Services Project & Commodity Buyer

 

Services Purchasing is recruiting a VIE Commodity & Project Buyer, for a 13 months contract in Gothenburg, starting September 1st 2025. The VIE’s mission is to select and develop global or a regional supplier base to create synergies and to achieve sustainable competitive advantages within their respective segments. 

 

What you will do

 

·  As a Services Project & Commodity Buyer, you will actively contribute to the team development and positive team atmosphere.
·  You will engage in cross-functional work to drive supply chain partners performance & the group sustainable & digital transformation.
·  You will lead local and regional sourcing projects, drive commercial negotiations with suppliers, negotiate Master and site agreements and perform daily purchasing activities related to orders and financial flows to suppliers.

You will join a passionate and driven team of procurement professionals located in Gothenburg and Lyon. In Services team, we collaborate and support each other's.  Our Services team plays an essential role in the Volvo transformation and sustainability roadmaps, and we are proud to be at the core of these essential topics.

·  You have good communication and interpersonal skills and are comfortable in cross-functional and multi-cultural set-up.
·  You are curious, and eager to learn, your have a business and negotiation appetence.
·  You are analytical, structured, and prioritization oriented. 
·  You are service minded towards stakeholders and collaborative, striving for teamwork and synergies.
·  You take ownership and have a flexible mindset to solve business needs in a fast-moving environment.
·  You have a Master´s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
·  You have previous experience in procurement, preferably in an Industrial sector.
·  You are fluent in English and in either French or Swedish.
·  You have knowledge of procurement tools and techniques including contractualization.
·  Experience from Services purchasing, passion for sustainability, and/or international experience, is an advantage.
