Job Description:

Head of Supplier Crisis & Risk Management North America positions offered by Volvo Group North America, LLC (Greensboro, North Carolina). Lead team members within the Crisis & Risk Management team with passion, securing performance in a dynamic environment. Manage resources with a growth mindset to handle risks and crisis daily, securing deliverables to the Volvo Group Trucks North America manufacturing plants and mitigating disruptions. Develop individual contributors to be prepared to excel in everything they do and to be prepared to take on new challenges. Manage the Group Trucks Purchasing North America crisis governance structure and report status to all applicable stakeholders including executive management. Take the lead in severe supplier crises requiring cross-functional resources (internal, consultants, or borrowed to other Volvo Group Purchasing departments) as support to the line organization, including hourly/daily pace, fast escalation, close relationship with Program & Volume Planning team. Secure cross-functional work and alignment with Group Trucks Operations, Group Trucks Technology, and the truck brands with regards to crisis cases, mitigation activities, and potential operational impacts Together with the Crisis Management Strategic Line, develop and implement the crisis management methodology and drive continuous improvement of crisis management processes.

 

Minimum Requirements : 

·  Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, or a related field and 5 years of experience performing crisis management in supply chain in the truck or automotive industry.
·  Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:
·  Working in purchasing and procurement
·  Managing and analyzing data, including Supplier Dispatch Precision, Backlogs, Parts Data, and Raw Material Source
·  Expanding on concise reports and communicating to stakeholders, top management, and suppliers
·  Applying lean manufacturing principles
·  Must have 1 year of experience performing Supply Chain Mapping (Tier-N)
·  Experience may be acquired prior to completion of degree.
·  Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

We are offering a salary of $140,670 to $156,864 per year.

For this position, the base pay is set at $140,670 - $156,864 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
