The Graduate Program at Volvo Group is a global 15-month program where you are offered the perfect mix of on-the-job learning and diverse training modules. You will get the chance to use and develop your technical and creative engineering skills, while gaining valuable experience working with real products on real business challenges. During the year you will engage in activities that will help you grow professionally and personally, developing strong communication and collaboration skills.

Who are you?
We’re looking for someone with a good understanding of embedded electronic systems to join our hardware verification workstream. You will help verify ECU-related hardware and systems, turning requirements into test strategies and contributing to robust, safe, and reliable products.
Main responsibilities
· Collaborate with related teams across different functions within Volvo R&D.
· Support investigation and resolution of product quality issues when needed.
· Support functional verification and fault tracing in vehicles, rigs, and lab environments.
· Review and validate documentation for components according to system/subsystem requirements, component technical requirements, and supplier input.
· Develop and maintain automated test cases integrating Hardware and Embedded Software.
· Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) for issues found in the product.
· Execute exploratory testing to uncover edge cases.
· Document test activities according to Volvo processes and systems.
To qualify for the Engineering Graduate Program, you will need:
· A bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer/Computation Engineering, Control Systems, or similar.
· To have graduated no more than 24 months ago.
· For internal employees: maximum of two years working at Volvo.
· You also need to be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
· Solid knowledge of electrical & electronics fundamentals.
· Good understanding of test & verification concepts and practices.
· Knowledge of microcontrollers.
· Embedded systems understanding.
· Experience with programming languages (e.g. C, Python).
· Hands-on experience with hardware debugging.
· Experience with lab equipment such as digital oscilloscopes and multimeters.
· Curiosity.
· Balance delivery with continuous learning.
· Clear communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to have (a plus)
· Knowledge of Ethernet and advanced communication protocols.
· Experience with vehicle network architecture and communication/diagnostic protocols.
