STMicroelectronics has the need for a Field Applications Engineer in the Redmond, WA office to provide technical support for the development and implementation of customer microcontroller applications, to continue growth and success in making a difference in people’s lives.

As a member of our team you will play a key role in securing ST customer commitments and win business by working on-site with customers and in support of their engineering teams, who are developing a variety of applications. The primary area of focus will be microcontroller applications across a wide range of electronic markets using ST’s ARM Cortex-M based STM32 family.
Profile
Minimum Requirements
· BS Electrical or Electronic Engineering with up to 2 years microcontroller application experience
To be effective in this role, this engineer is expected to:
· Recommend and implement microcontroller and/or processor solutions to customers
· Work closely with the sales and marketing team to align proper product offering to end customer opportunities
· Take customers’ designs to revenue by providing prompt and thorough technical support for on-going design activity
· Use expert knowledge to tailor feedback to the product division for new product development
· Present at ST technical conferences and facilitate product specific customer training sessions
· Travel to multiple locations for customer engagements
Preferred Qualifications
· 2 years of experience that includes ARM MCU hardware, firmware, system software and system integration experience
· Code development and debugging skills in assembly, embedded C, C++ with and without a real time operating system
· Hardware troubleshooting skills using an oscilloscope, logic analyzers, and signal generators
· Experience with peripherals such as USART, SPI, I2C, USB, CAN and Ethernet with associated protocols in addition to analog peripherals that include RTOS and Bootloader
· Knowledge of loT and Cloud, and DSP
· Knowledge of communication protocol stacks such as TCP/IP, Bluetooth Low Energy, and LoRa WAN
· Experience working with cloud IoT providers
· Solid verbal and written communication skills;
