Job Description

We are looking for final-year students with a keen interest, hands-on experience or knowledge in mechanical engineering (prototyping) to support our research and development efforts in our lab.

If you’ve built robots, experimented with hydrogen, joined hackathons, or love working with CNC machines and 3D printing, we want to hear from you! At Sparkmate, you’ll be part of a dynamic, flat-hierarchy, and fun team where you’ll work on real-world industrial challenges and help develop breakthrough low-temperature electrolysis technology.

What You’ll Do

· 
Design, prototype, and test mechanical components and electrochemical cells

· 
Operate CNC machines, 3D printers, and other prototyping tools

· 
Assist in CAD design and mechanical simulations

· 
Collaborate with the team on supplier management and procurement processes

· 
Support sourcing, quotations, purchase orders, and supplier negotiations

Preferred Experience

What We’re Looking For

· 
Final-year student in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field

· 
An interest in materials or metallurgical research

· 
Team player mindset

· 
Very hands-on with CNC machining, 3D printing, and rapid prototyping

· 
Proficiency in CAD design (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)

· 
Understanding of supplier relationships and procurement is a plus

· 
English is mandatory

· 
Cantonese/Mandarin not required but highly appreciated
