Founding GTM Engineer
CDD Paris (Paris)
Job description
About
At Steerlab, our mission is to empower Sales teams to win more deals. We do so by automating their response to RFPs (Requests for Proposals), Security Questionnaires, and other vendor questionnaires with AI.
By leveraging fine-tuned language models and multi-modal, agentic AI systems, we turn answers that used to take days into minutes: factual, on-brand, and ready to submit, while surfacing the insights that drive up win rates.
We're just getting started. We're backed by top-tier VCs, and teams at Bolt, GoFundMe and Staffbase already win with Steerlab. Now we're scaling fast and growing the team to take this much further.
Job Description
Build the GTM operating system at Steerlab: one connected, AI-native system that runs on autopilot. Across four areas:
Pipeline autopilot
·
Build and run an AI autopilot for the top of funnel: prospecting, enrichment, qualification, and CRM sync, connected end to end, generating qualified meetings
·
Build the best-fit account lists and surface the right targets at the right time from buying signals, then continuously tune the system from first setup through performance optimization
Outbound engine
·
Build and manage automated outbound sequences with deliverability and personalization at scale, wiring in signals and automated replies so the right message reaches the right person at the right moment
·
Own email infrastructure: domain health, warming strategies, and deliverability monitoring
Data, CRM, and intelligence
·
Build and maintain the data pipelines connecting marketing tools, CRM, and sales tooling, and run the CRM as a headless system of record that automations read from and write to, kept clean enough to act on
·
Build the attribution and reporting layer that tells us what is actually working
Build and experiment
·
Hunt down manual, repetitive GTM work and replace it with systems the team can rely on long term, and ship growth experiments (website widgets, ROI calculators) that lift conversion and pipeline
·
Proactively raise what to automate next, make the case, and own the execution once you have buy-in
Preferred Experience
·
Proven builder: 3+ years in GTM engineering, growth engineering, or adjacent. You've shipped systems that survived real use, not just demos
·
AI-first: AI is part of how you build daily, you can run Claude Code, and you'll push AI tooling further than we already do
·
Systems integrator: you've automated real work by wiring tools and data together, through automation platforms or your own code. Comfortable with APIs and webhooks
·
Outbound and deliverability: hands-on with automated outbound, marketing automation, and email deliverability (domain health, warming, monitoring)
·
Self-starter who sells the idea: you find the work nobody assigned you, get buy-in, and execute without hand-holding
·
Cross-team communicator: you can explain a complex system in plain language to someone who will never open it
·
Track record of building scalable outbound systems that drive pipeline, with strong project management across functions
Bonus points
·
Hands-on with Clay, n8n and enrichment tools
·
CRM fluency in HubSpot, with a feel for how data moves through one
What’s in it for you?
·
Be our first GTM Engineer and build the system the whole revenue team runs on
·
Work directly with the founders and the GTM team, with real ownership over what you build
·
Outsized leverage: your systems multiply every seller's output
·
High trust and high autonomy
Recruitment Process
Designed to find builders who ship systems, own outcomes, and think in leverage.
·
Intro call (20 to 30 min): your background, how you build, and context on the role. A mutual fit check.
·
Technical working session (60 to 90 min): walk us through a system you've built, plus a short design exercise on a real Steerlab automation. We care how you think and how you wire things together.
·
Final conversation and culture fit (30 min): align on ways of working, ownership, and values, plus references.
·
Offer: if it's a match, we move fast.
