Job Description
Epigene Labs is looking for a Computational Biologist Intern for a 6-month end-of-studies internship, starting between January and June 2025.
You will work on a project to improve molecular data integration and processing, with the opportunity to develop new pipelines and explore innovative methodologies. This role offers a unique learning experience through close collaboration with computational biologists, data scientists, and data engineers, providing hands-on involvement in cutting-edge projects.
The idea of an internship at Epigene is to get a foot in the door of the company and to be able to focus on a specific subject during the months of internship with other members of the team. Many of our previous interns have gone on to join the team on permanent contracts.

Ability to implement and benchmark computational methods from the fields of biostatistics and bioinformatics

Proficiency in Python programming for data analysis
·
A team player with the ability to also work autonomously, and who has a lifelong learning mindset

Outstanding interpersonal and English communication skills
Preferred

Experience with bulk and/or single-cell NGS data
·
Experience with mining publicly available databases (GEO, TCGA, etc.)
·
Experience with version control systems (Git) and microservices/container systems (Dockers)
Education and experience
·
Master’s degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Data Management or related technical fields
·
Working knowledge of healthcare, biopharma and/or oncology is a plus
