Then come and join our global team as Working Student (f/m/d) to support the Data Science field.
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You will support our data scientists in their daily work of data analytics and machine learning projects for the customer service for medical imaging devices
- Your tasks include the detailed exploration of data, implementation of machine learning (classical machine learning and deep learning) or process mining techniques, and a thorough evaluations of results
- You will conduct market and scientific literature research about latest technologies and trends
- You present your results in regular team meetings

Your qualifications and experience:
- You are studying Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computational Engineering, or similar
- You have strong Python programming skills which includes experience in using data analytics related packages like pandas, scipy, numpy, matplotlib, and/or plotly, as well as basic concepts like optimization and parallelization of Python code
- You have implemented and evaluated machine learning models before with tools like scikit-learn, tensorflow/keras, and/or pytorch
- You have prior experience or the strong motivation to implement cloud based solutions in Databricks
- You know about principles of software delevopment like version control, issue tracking, code review, CI/CD, and have fun in writing object-oriented, modular, and well documented code
- (Py)Spark und JavaScript are an advantage
Your attributes and skills:
- You have strong communication skills in spoken and written English
- You have a strong motivation to explore new scientific fields and tools which you are not familiar with yet
- You plan to pursue your new role for a longer period, at least 6 months, preferably longer
- You can work independently, but also have strong communication skills to work in a team
- You adapt quickly to new requirements and business challenges and have fun in finding the right tools and approaches to tackle problems
