About Siemens Technology Department
Siemens Technology is the central in-house research unit at Siemens and as such occupies an outstanding position within Siemens' R&D facilities. It acts as a strategic partner to support Siemens’ business units with R&D services, protects the company’s intellectual property, coordinates the collaboration with top universities worldwide, and supports standardization activities in all business units and regions. Through its R&D activities in Germany, USA, Portugal, China, India, Japan, and Eastern Europe, Siemens Technology helps to secure the company’s technological future and strengthen its ambition.

The UX Expert at T UX is a key driver for user experience innovations across all business areas and belong the hole Human-centered design process.
The position is embedded in different research activities and in a lot of challenging UX consulting projects inside the company. As UX Expert you will support our clients to define the right things to create user centered
- You are an experienced UX Expert and will help to define digital offerings for our clients in all Siemens Business units worldwide. You are responsible for driving UX innovation with your expertise and integrate it into customer projects in an efficient way and become part of the UX transformation at Siemens.
- Participate and lead projects with Siemens businesses, including research & development as well as technical consulting in the broader field of UX.
- You will build up a Siemens-internal network to acquire projects that convert research results into business impact and maintain relationships to the business units within Siemens.
- The digital transformation is going on in the company and UX is playing an important role in this transformation process. Therefore, you should be able to fill in a key role in UX & IOT projects.
- Furthermore, you maintain projects with key universities and institutes to expand technology portfolio and jointly pursue public funding opportunities.
We are looking for someone with…
- You are an experienced UX professional with a background in information architecture, interaction design or communication design, ideally added with interest on research and you have a bachelor’s degree or higher in human-computer-interaction or related field.
- Moreover, you have a proven experience as Experience Architect / Interaction Designer and therefore able to create Wireframes, User Journeys, Flow Charts and Activity diagrams and develop an information architecture or write User stories. First experiences with task analysis and user research management would be great but not mandatory.
- The candidate should be familiar with the standard tools for experience architects like Balsamiq or Axure, as well as Jira, Confluence and Tableau and have first experience with Figma. Additional knowledge in Ui Design would be an advantage.
- We are an international company. Fluency in English completes your profile. Good Portuguese language skills will be an advantage. German would be welcome but not a must.
- The work in international and remote teams and the integration of external design agencies should be daily business for you. You need the basics of project management to manage ongoing support for the projects.
- Your fascination for innovative technology and self-motivation, as well as your user-focused business mindset qualifies you for this position. You should have strong self-organization competencies, embedded in an agile company environment. For your consultancy work we expect strong analytic skills, good and effective communication competencies and a collaborative working style. You need the attitude of a team player to become successful.

As a UX expert, you will be instrumental to elaborate innovative solutions solving our user’s pains and serving their needs. You will translate our sophisticated technology products and embedded systems into simple and intuitive experiences, impacting our user’s daily life.
