Rate of Pay: The salaryrange for this position in New York, NY is $118,200-159,800 per year and thisrole is eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Support testing and bringingstandard and specialized systems into an operational state; Support standardtests and commissioning tests in well-defined individual components of systems;Identify problems and take appropriate steps (troubleshoot) or refer to others;Responsible for the corrective modification of the standard hardware andsoftware systems; Interface between development teams in regards to Simulatorequipment used for CBTC projects via weekly coordination meeting withdevelopment team and weekly status update exchanged by emails; Write and updatetesting procedures; Document job activities through written reports; Documentsoftware/hardware defects as detected during testing phase.
Requirements: Employerwill accept a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in ElectricalEngineering, Computer Engineering, or in a related field, and 24 months ofexperience in the job offered or in a related Engineering occupation. Thisposition requires experience with the following: LINUX OS and WINDOWS OS andRTOS VxWorks; Communication networks such as TCP/IP or Fiber Optics; Ada, Perl,Shell scripts such as bash or sh; Configuration management: ClearCase; V cycle;CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) norm, specifically IEEE 1474.1-2004standard; MTA CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) specific knowledge(Interoperability Interface Specification - I2S - CBTC specification).
