Test Architect for Ultrasound project

Job description
We participate in development of high-end, highly integrated ultrasound products, using agile methods of software development (SAFE and SCRUM) and state of the art software engineering practices (e.g. DevOps). The primary responsibility of a Test Architect (TA) is to provide strategic direction, governance and technical leadership regarding all test related aspects. The TA is the foremost technical authority for test-related aspects and is responsible for the overall product quality for both functional and non-functional aspects. The scope, impact and influence of the TA shall cover the entire product development organization. The TA is a senior role and is comparable to the role of lead architect.
Responsibilities:
· defining and implementing an effective and efficient test strategy for the project, aligned with the business and quality goals
· participating in the evaluation and definition of test tools and methods and their introduction in the test
· organization with the goal to continuously improve product quality, reduce testing costs and reduce time to market
· involvement in early development phases to discuss test aspects and to define testability requirements into software design
· measuring, controlling and continuous optimization of test coverage and automation
· identifying and sharing best practices and experiences in the organization
· defining or maintaining an effective and efficient test architecture in close cooperation with system integration
· governing the design and improvement of the test automation framework
· high focus on test automation (shift left) to support continuous deployment
Required technical know-how:
· excellent knowledge of and multi-year experience in object-oriented programming (preferably in C#, .NET) using state of the art software design and software engineering methods
· deep knowledge of the agile testing process, methods and tools
· in-depth knowledge of test design methods for all testing levels
· general comprehension of the system, the dependency relationships between its components as well as the system’s requirements
· good (grey-box) knowledge of the system architecture/design on the level of components and their (public) interfaces (design docs, concept specifications, white papers)
· knowledge in software analysis & design, ideally with focus on design for testability
· sound knowledge of test management, test automation and reporting tools
· ideally you have experience in continuous deployment, preferably Azure DevOps
· understanding of CI/CD principles, ideally in Azure DevOps environment
· iSAQB certification advantage
· ISTQB foundation and advanced certification
· experienced driver of topics with the aiming for tangible results in a globally distributed team with various stakeholder
· at least 3 years of experience in test architect role
· at least 5 years of experience with test automation

· English fluent (writing, speaking)

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: starting from 2500 EUR brutto /month + VAR*
