Tecnomatix Application Support Engineer REMOTE

Job description

As a tecnomatix Application Support Engineer, you areresponsible for assisting customers in the use of Tecnomatix, collaboratingwith support and development management to raise key customer issues;developing technical articles and customer self-help tools; assist in testingand verification of software fixes during the development cycle. IRs wouldoccasionally require additional guidance from technical leads, development, andmanagement. Area of customer focus would consist of broad range of products includingspecialized areas. This person could serve as mentor or focal point for productinformation. Scope of influence could include Marketing, Development, OnsiteCustomers, User Groups, and possibly Business Partners.

Responsibilities

  • Address incoming phone calls and Support Center cases reported by customers and provide solutions for their questions and issues.
  • Under minimum direction, analyze customer’s question and provide a solution or a workaround in a timely manner that meets the customer’s needs.
  • Duplicate customer problems and provide detailed problem examples to development through problem reports and enhancement requests.
  • Collaborate with worldwide team members on difficult customer problems.
  • Identify critical issues, involve appropriate management and development resources, while taking responsibility for the successful resolution of the issue.
  • Create knowledge base articles and videos.
  • Actively participate in staff meeting discussions.
  • Participate in continuous learning while meeting Siemens and group learning goals.
  • Expand scope of product knowledge to include additional functional areas, applications, focal points, or modules, while maintaining area of expertise. 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • US citizen or Green Card holder
  • Must be able to work remote (virtual office)
  • 2+ years of experience in Tecnomatix, upgrades and trouble-shooting related issues required
  • Strong background in Tecnomatix Process Simulate and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation
  • Degree in Computer Science or Engineering and/or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent analytical, written communication, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend complex software concepts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Self-starter, motivated and able to work with a minimum of direct supervision, able to self-learn

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Experience in customer support and call tracking system preferred
  • 2+ years of general CAD, CAM, CAE, or PDM experience preferred

The salary range for this position is$68,000 to $122,400 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation.The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s worklocation as well as additional factors, including job-related skills,experience, and relevant education/training.  Siemens offers avariety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
