Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as a Technical Training Specialist.  The Technical Training Specialist is part of the Customer Solutions team and is responsible for delivering approved training curriculum to North America customers for Core Lab products.  The technical training will include basic operations and troubleshooting, and will be delivered either in a training center, virtually, or at the customer site.  This position will support all Siemens Healthineers Core Lab portfolio, with an initial focus on the Atellica Solution, the most innovative solution in the Laboratory Diagnostics industry.  The ideal candidate will have some experience in adult education, technical training, curriculum development, or biomedical engineering.   A Medical Technologist profile, with experience in chemistry and immunoassays is preferred.  We will consider IT specialists with an experience in the laboratory industry.  This role is based out of our headquarters facility in Tarrytown, NY.

This is a role well suited to a dynamic and ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career.  As a Technical Training Specialist, you will:

  • Facilitate in-person and remote, basic and advanced training programs.
  • Provide technical input and update instructor-led and computer-based training curriculum and pilot new programs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot problems and successfully maintain instruments when working in the training laboratory.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to stay current and standardize training content.  Work independently to inerface with outside departments and effectively represents the Customer Solutions Team.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate and promote the company culture and values.
  • Coach and mentor new trainers.
  • Travel nationally as required – up to 50%.

Required skills to have for the success of this role:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with people in a wide range of organizational roles and education levels are required.
  • Previous experience with Laboratory Diagnostics instruments is ideal. Knowledge of Siemens Healthineers Core Lab products or competitive products is a plus.
  • Understanding of the operations and workflow of a laboratory is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in medical technology preferred. Degree in chemistry, biomedical engineering or healthcare IT will be considered.
