Siemens Healthineers is seeking a highly skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a Technical Support Engineer - Ultrasound. This hybrid remote role combines the responsibilities of a home and field-based engineer, where expertise in both on-site and remote troubleshooting and support will be pivotal in driving the customer experience.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for managing field service activities performed by external partners, providing technical assistance to customers remotely, and coordinating on-site visits when necessary.
In this Technical Support Engineer role, you can expect to:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in your region, manage service incidents and create and allocate tickets in the Service Management System
- Pre-clarify customer issues, provide remote technical assistance and troubleshooting and determine if on-site intervention is required
- Offer remote, guidance to customers and partner onsite field engineers, instructing them on necessary steps to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
- Utilise remote access tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems
- Create quotes and cost estimates for customers requiring in-field actions
To apply for this Technical Support Engineer role, you will need an HNC in Engineering or a related field and proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or Remote Service Engineer. You will also require the following:
- Strong technical knowledge in the medical device industry, specifically ultrasound
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and coordinate activities with external partner field service engineers
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in using remote access tools and diagnostic equipment.
