We are currently lookingfor a Technical Manager/Technical Bid Manager (m/f/d)Electric for our Passenger Coaches Department inVienna and/or Graz. You will be managing an Engineering Project Team carryingout the electrical development-process for Passenger Coaches. The trains aremanufactured in Vienna and other Siemens locations, and they transport peopleacross Europe in day and night trains such as the Railjet for Austrian andCzech railway operators. Additionally you will accompany the quotation processfrom the customer tender to receipt of the order.
In this role, you can actively design the future ofsustainable high-speed cross-border train service in Europe. We transform theeveryday!
Tasks
- You analyze customer tenders and reflect them on ourplatform products.
- You develop electric vehicle concepts including car controland create corresponding close-by-comments and offer documents.
- You conduct technical customer negotiations.
- You create effort estimates and coordinate the bid team.
- You manage the developments in one of our projects in orderto achieve the customer requirements for the entire electrical system. You areresponsible for the setup of the engineering project organization together withthe engineering department heads.
- You will be responsible for a cost-optimized vehicle designbased on our vehicle platforms.
- You lead the Engineering-Sub-Project in order to deliver thedevelopment results within quality, time schedule and budget.
- You are managing the project team following the projectexecution guidelines.
- You ensure the achievement of the high-level Siemensstandard of engineering quality and in case of changes you manage theengineering change management process.
- You plan and execute the engineering type tests togetherwith the project team.
- On a regular basis you are reporting to the project head andto the engineering organization (department heads, engineering head).
Skills
- You have successfully completed a technical degree in e.g.electrical or railway engineering.
- You have several years (> 3 years) experience in leadingengineering teams in project management.
- Ideally, you have several years of professional experiencein the field of railway/vehicle technology, especially in technical projects ormanagement tasks, or based on a suitable background, you are motivated tobuild up experience in the railway industry.
- Experience in control systems and/or IT-systems will bebeneficial.
- You are fluent in English and are willing to learnGerman.
- You are confident in dealing with international businesspartners, colleagues and employees and are willing to travel (<25%).
- Your leadership style is based on empowerment & growthmindset.
What else do I need to know?
We offer an attractive remuneration package in line withyour qualifications and professional experience. The legally required minimumgross annual salary according to the collective agreement for this position isat least EUR 54.900 based on 38.5 working hours per week. Depending on youreducation, experience and overtime, a higher salary can be agreed. As a largecorporation, Siemens also offers additional social benefits.
