What will you do?
As a member of the Performance and Technical Support team to fulfill the Technical Support and Spares Supply Agreement (TSSSA) objectives, you will be delivering high servicing standards in safety, performance and reliability, measured by cost, quality and customer satisfaction. Provide Technical advice to our customers' maintenance workforce to enhance equipment reliability of the Siemens charger locomotive and coaches’ fleet. Advise on: routine maintenance, restoration and resolution of equipment failures, semi-complex equipment installation, modifications and repairs. Develop strong and successful relationship with the customer. Assist the Siemens Mobility Customer Service department providing details on Customer related inquires, involving Mechanical Department concerns. Drive increased productivity and quality through strong know-how, experience, successful collaboration, and innovative thinking.
Responsibilities
- Participate and adhere to short, medium and long term strategic goals.
- Identify and contribute to KPI's related to contract deliverables, monitor and control progress towards goal achievement to drive business improvements.
- Participate in regular reviews with customer representatives and demonstrate improvement in product performance and satisfaction by supporting the customer in achieving business objectives.
- Collaborate with the customer to explore opportunities of mutual interest.
- Be the first point of contact for resolution of out-of-process events for the customer.
- Ensure a professional communication style and build a relationship with the client that provides a stable foundation for business activities.
- Ensure specific contractual and customer requirements are met by participating in internal contract reviews.
- Interact with support functions and key vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services by participating in performance reviews as required.
- Produce and maintain evidence in the agreed upon format to demonstrate that the company has met contract deliverables.
- Ensure the fleet is compliant with rail regulations, group standards and Siemens policies.
- Collaborate with the head office engineering organization on reactive and proactive fleet improvements.
- Support the implementation and ongoing management of the performance program, monitor reliability and performance trends and develop improvement proposals.
- Demonstrate behavior and values consistent with Siemens values, the Siemens Mobility Behavioral Partnership and the Siemens Code of Ethics.
- Drive productivity improvement using continuous improvement and Six Sigma techniques to support strategic objectives.

Required Knowledge / Skills, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or DEC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical understanding of the rolling stock industry, with in-depth knowledge of rolling stock maintenance techniques, procedures and best practices.
- Excellent English both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills in the language. French language skills are an asset
- Ability to apply standard processes to maximize consistency of output and increase efficiency.
- User knowledge of Fleet monitoring and CMMS Software.
- Ability to work under pressure (stress management).
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite application to generate reports, presentations, email communications, and work with spreadsheets.
- Leadership, customer service, strategic innovation and ability to influence others.
- Be curious and autonomous.
- Experience supervising and leading multi-functional teams in a rail environment preferred.
- Experience in fleet implementation.
- Previous experience in profit and loss management.
- Experience with contracts and commercial activities.
- Experience negotiating with customer and supplier representatives at the workplace.
- The preferred candidate will have a background maintenance, commissioning or another rail-related experience.
