As a Tech & Community Lead for PowerBI you will:
Grow & become our technical PowerBI Evangelist within Siemens Financial Services (SFS)
Help SFS to scale further Business Intelligence and consequently ensuring higher data literacy within the organization by:
- Building up, establish and moderate the SFS PowerBI Community (e.g., shape/develop Training Concepts/Series, execute trainings, host monthly Community Calls, …)
- Being the key technical expert for PowerBI for the whole community and all other stakeholders (e.g., Application Owner/ Manager, Service Owner, Management, Service Provider and Vendor)
- Providing development guidance, guidelines & best practices to the organization
- Leveraging data analytics throughout the organization
- Creating and maintaining the PowerBI Wiki & knowledge data base
- Facilitate and solve problems of the citizen developers hands-on in day-to-day work
- Consult the Service Owner / Application Manager in technical future evolution of the PowerBI Service (e.g., technical roadmap, new technical features, architecture …)
- Build and strengthen the network within Siemens’ PowerBI community
- Stay up to date on market trends in the context of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Technologies
- In the long run: Drive migration projects towards PowerBI in the role of a technical lead jointly with Business and IT
We are looking for someone with…
- College degree in Computer Science, Economics, or related field
- Experience in relevant positions, such as data analyst, data warehouse developer, data engineer or similar, ideally in BI/ Data Analytics technologies (esp. PowerBI and Tableau);
- Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus
- Basic programming skills (Python, Java, ...) & general understanding of IT & IT processes
- Very good & pro-active communication skills
- User-Centric mindset to boost data analytics, data literacy & data democratization
- Experence or willingness to learn in related/dependent technologies (Snowflake, Azure Cloud, KNIME, …) and market trends (other BI/ Data Analytic technologies)
- Hands-on & positive mentality
- Fluent English
