Job Description

Siemens Mobility Slovakia is looking for the rail automation competence center in Žilina the System Managers and System Engineers for the Communication and Information Systems.

The competence center is taking part in the international rail automation projects worldwide.

The System Manager/Engineer is responsible for the requirement clarification, system design and architecture of the different communication and information systems as required by the paricular projects, up to the organization of the testing and supervision of the installation and provisioning phase. The communication and information systems comprise the Fibre Optic Transmission Network, Radio Communications, CCTV, PABX, passenger information and announcement systems etc.

The job responsibilities are (in dependance on the project):

·Clarify, discuss, and manage the requirements of the particular subsystems and/or the whole system and interfaces

·Propose, create, and/or contribute to the system design and architecture of the systems

·Participate on the selection of the sub-suppliers and evaluate the offered solutions

·Coordinate and organize the testing activities

·Supervise the installation and commissioning of the subsystems and take part in the acceptance procedures

·Maintain and develop own professional competence

Znalosti, skúsenosti aosobnostné predpoklady

·Fluency in English, written and spoken

·Proven experience in delivering complex projects

·Experience in the role of system manager, system engineer, system architect or similar

·Proven experience and solid overview of communication sub-systems like CCTV, Fiber Optical Networks, Office Network, PABX & Tetra Passenger Help Points etc.

·Proven success working with a team of expert engineers to design and deliver complex systems from design level to implementation

·Experience and knowledge of engineering processes at all stages of the engineering lifecycle.

·Proven experience providing estimates for engineering projects and tenders.

·Good knowledge of IT systems and software, especially Microsoft Office and Project.

·Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.

·Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
