What do you contribute?

  • We are looking for a System Integrator (f(m/d) to support our team in the integration of automatic train protection systems (ATP systems) in locomotives and cab cars.
  • In this role, you will work with colleagues across the entire product lifecycle and be responsible for integrating varied releases of software and hardware whilst adhering to relevant safe system standards.
  • You will work on the development and implementation of safe and digital train operation by integrating the necessary automatic train protection systems into locomotives.
  • To do this, you will analyze requirements and regulations, structure them and create software and circuit concepts.
  • You will clarify the interfaces between the automatic train protection system and the vehicle and implement these in coordination with the system supplier.
  • You will develop control software, specify tests and check the overall ATP function in the laboratory and on the vehicle.
  • You will create the necessary documentation for authorization to demonstrate fulfillment of requirements to approval bodies.
  • You will focus your work on reusability of work results in the sense of product and technical platform strategies. For example, test automation and scalability.


What do you bring along?

  • You have completed a technical master's degree.
  • In addition, you have many years of experience in programming PLC controls and in electrical circuit design.
  • You have several years of experience in integration of control components into an overall system
  • You are familiar with corresponding requirements and verification engineering for safety-related components (e.g. railway, automotive, aviation).
  • You can also demonstrate knowledge in integration, testing, operation and/or maintenance of automatic train protection systems.
  • You are willing to undertake occasional business trips in Germany and abroad (approx. 20%, depending on the respective project phase).
  • You communicate fluently in English. Knowledge of German is a plus. Another European foreign language is an advantage.
