Are you interested in a technically challenging and perspective-intensive activity with which you can make a significant contribution to the expansion of the railway share of freight and passenger services? Then come to us and develop the globally successful rail vehicles from Siemens Mobility in our engineering team.
What do you contribute?
Your new job will take you into engineering for the central vehicle control of our state-of-the-art and environmentally friendly locomotives.
• As a system developer (f/m/d), you will make our locomotives fit for the future and further develop locomotive control functions (such as multiple traction or auxiliary operation control) in coordination with our technical experts.
• To this end, you will define interfaces between hardware and software and coordinate these with our in-house specialists (f/m/d) from other engineering departments (e.g. display, ATP, circuit technology) as well as our suppliers.
• You specify requirements for the resulting functions and convert them into code for the vehicle control unit (PLC).
• You test the functional behavior on our test benches and on the locomotive.
What do you bring along?
• You have completed a technical bachelor's degree (e.g. electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics).
• Furthermore, you have initial experience in the field of software development for vehicles, ideally in the railroad sector.
• Programming PLC controls is no challenge for you and you enjoy working through complex problems.
• Ideally, you have experience with the tools Redmine, Doors and SVN.
• You are fluent in English (at least C1-level or equivalent). Additional language skills are an advantage.
• You enjoy working with colleagues from different departments and locations.
• Readiness for traveling.
