Role overview:

The primary role requires the candidate to act as a System Architect for Control & Protection, process bus and hence should work collaboratively with the direct sales team, Operations team, Clients and Business Partners (Internal / External) in order to undertake and support the corresponding Sales teams to explore newer opportunities to enhance the present portfolio basket by possible integration of various system integrations. The candidate is expected to act as a Control & Protection Expert and Solution Architect, wherein he/she should drive the system solutions with an intent of system lifecycle manager.

The job profile requires experience in the following activities: 
Detailed Requirement Study 
Solution Architect (Enabler for integrating of various systems with the Power System Control & Protection to drive new opportunities) 
Offer evaluation and optimization 
Support the RFI/RFP phases 
Opportunity Support 
Proposal Support 
Execution Support (Engg, Configuration & Commissioning) 
Demo / PoC support


In general, the duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive) include:

Work closely with sales team and Partners by participating and supporting all sales strategies and business goals. 
Drive revenue growth and create sales opportunities by contributing and managing pre-sales technical process. 
Collaborate with Sales team and educate customers about benefits of Siemens solutions. This includes presentations, technical evaluations, proposals and follow up on customer related issues. 
Design of Control & Protection System, Integration of different Systems, estimating the Bill of material (including the required SW licenses) and optimization of designed CRP/system architecture in order to achieve business goals.  
Create/modify design documents and drawings for a project, including one-lines, three-lines, conceptual drawings, detailed protection and control schematics , wiring diagrams, cable block diagrams and termination schedules, relay panel arrangements / layout and specifications and generating bills of material.
Communications interfaces with SCADA / SAS / DCS etc.
Perform basic calculations such as CT / VT Dimensioning Check, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations.
Verifications of technical compliances of HW/SW systems’ offer received from vendors. 
Supporting the execution cycle of the new system solutions. 
Collaborating for new solutions and technologies required in the business to drive new product and offerings.
The candidate will have to drive business development activities of Control & Relay Panel, feeder automation application by utilizing technical experience on related products.
Leverage innovative technical solutions to promote Siemens Protection, Power Quality and Automation Products.
Understand and also clarify customer requirements, driving those expectations into Siemens technical concepts and expertise’s.
Write solution specifications and develop operation philosophies to enforce Siemens position in selling process.
Technical offer, solution finalization and bidding support for all Process Bus projects.


Experience/Profile:

Minimum 6-8 years of overall working experience in the field of Control & Relay Panel Design. 3+ years in Technical pre-sales/design activities specially related to Process Bus shall be preferred. 
Hands-on experience with the below shall be preferred: 
? DIGSI-4 & DIGSI-5 
? Relay Configuration tool of GE, ABB or equivalent. 
Knowledge and know-how of Digital Substation/Process Bus will be a desired skillset. 
Must have experience in building technical system solution required for Control & Protection of Power system. 
Must have Relevant experience in working with System Integrators. 
Experience in building solutions that includes building a business case, high & low level 
architecture definition and services. 
Hands on experience and knowledge on working of different relays application.  
Knowledge and know-how of IoT solutions and Cloud will be a desired skillset. 
Background of handling Utilities / Industry / Infrastructure end-customer is desired
Experience in design, configuration, testing and commissioning in Power Systems Protection (Protection relays and schemes, design philosophy and coordination studies etc), Control Systems (RTUs, SCADA) and Communication Systems and Protocols (Ethernet, SDH, IEC 61850, DNP 3, Modbus, IEC104)

Soft Skills:

Excellent Communication (Both written & verbal) & Inter-personal Skills 
Should be an accomplished presenter of Sales and/or Technical material to small / large audiences. 
Critical thinking, reasoning and problem solving are an essential part of this position. 
Enjoys learning new things and build knowledge base in new area. 
Enjoys working in Team environments, Exhibits collaboration in multiple stake holder 
interactions.
