About Siemens Technology Department
Siemens Technology is the central in-house research unit at Siemens and as such occupies an outstanding position within Siemens' R&D facilities. It acts as a strategic partner to support Siemens’ business units with R&D services, protects the company’s intellectual property, coordinates the collaboration with top universities worldwide, and supports standardization activities in all business units and regions. Through its R&D activities in Germany, USA, Portugal, China, India, Japan, and Eastern Europe, Siemens Technology helps to secure the company’s technological future and strengthen its ambition.
Your mission will be…
- Be part of Siemens family by integrating our Sustainable Energy & Infrastructure Technology team.
- Be incentivized to create innovation in the energy sustainability arena;
- Work with consultants and business representatives in an international environment, for our projects in the sustainability and decarbonization area;
- Candidate will partner with all business units acquiring and executing research projects performing sustainability assessments for energy systems and urban infrastructure Self-paced learning and on-job training;
- Work in an Agile environment, integrated in a multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for someone with…
- Bachelor/Master’s or PhD in Environmental Engineering, Energy Engineering, or similar;
- That will develop methodologies for modeling of product and system life cycles. The systematic LCA-approach is applied with focus to infrastructure performance of cities and energy systems, along with the identification of ecological and economic focal points.
- Knowledge about standards and regulations in the field of expertise.
- IT skills relevant for data analysis as well as experience with SimaPro, GaBi or other LCA software, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in English both written and oral (mandatory).
