Against this background we have set up a new unit “Sustainability” within Motion Control. This unit is tasked with driving the sustainability agenda of MC, including not only the products we offer to our customer, but also our self-imposed obligation to more sustainability in our own value chain, as expressed in the Siemens’ DEGREE framework. What part will you play?
  • As Sustainability Manager (f/m/d), you are sitting in the driver's seat and are aiming for transparency in substance use and the relevant mapping for our Motion Control product portfolio.
  • In this context, you actively drive compliance with taxonomy DNSH criteria.
  • Furthermore, you establish regulatory monitoring, aim to automate our reporting on substances and are responsible with overarching initiatives on corporate and senior management level.
  • Besides, you consult our Government Affairs colleagues in advising policymakers and regulators.
  • With your high level of expertise, you play a key role in supporting  colleagues from R&D in the development of less critical alternatives to critical substances to create a more sustainable future together.
  • Moreover, you assist the head of the responsible unit in carrying out their duties in connection with product-related environmental protection.
What you need to make real what matters.
  • University degree in material sciences, sustainability management or similar engineering background.
  • Long-term experience and proven track record with substance management or Sustainability topics as well as profound related market insights.
  • Proven professional experience in industrial digitization/automation and our Digital Industries portfolio.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • International experience and business proficiency in German and English.
