This position will be in the GlobalSupplier Manufacturing Quality organization of Siemens Healthineers Diagnosticsand responsible for the Planning, organizing and reporting on allsupplier quality-related activities to assure fulfillment of requirements.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Participates as part of a geographically dispersed team of Supplier QualityAssurance Engineers and supports global Supplier Quality visions andstrategies. Supports development, communication, deployment, and management ofoverall supplier quality strategies
  • Participates as part of a geographically dispersed team of Supplier QualityAssurance Engineers and supports global Supplier Quality visions andstrategies. Supports development, communication, deployment, and management ofoverall supplier quality strategies
  • Implement and maintainquality improvement programs and auditing systems with our suppliers. Thesesystems should cover the production processes, quality management andrecord/documentation management at the supplier.
  • Work closely with supplier to demonstrate and maintain stable and capableprocesses, while working at the supplier's manufacturing site. Translate ourperformance expectations into measurable methods at the supplier. Understandthe supplier's current capabilities and potential new capabilities.

The candidate will:

  • Conduct periodic audits toverify that process capability requirements are maintained over the time. Also,responsible for conducting supplier audits to ensure that documented processflow is followed, and necessary process controls are in place.
  • Drive resolution of quality issues back to the supplier. This includes customercomplaints and non-conformances. Ensure they are informed of and aligned aroundquality issue resolution.
  • Update supplier quality metrics for monthly reviews. Report on all supplier quality-relatedactivities to assure fulfillment of requirements.
  • Participate in supplier design/engineering review & approval process, andNew Product Introduction processes.
  • Support supplier selections and evaluations including determining the degree ofsupplier control necessary to establish compliance, based on the significanceof product being purchased
  • Provides Supplier Quality guidance within the Supplier Quality Assurance groupto contribute and support key functions such as: Engineering, Manufacturing,and Procurement groups.
  • Identify systemic supplier quality issues and driving corrective andpreventative actions through: 1) data and information collection regardingtrends and issues 2) data and information collection from assessments and fromsupply base, and 3) Root Cause Analysis and Problem Resolution Primarilyintra organizational contacts and external contacts.
  • Provides specialized guidanceor train support and/or professional staff.  Leadership qualities and rolemodel qualities demonstrated.

Education

  • Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry,Biochemistry, or related field
  • Travel is required for this position: potentially 20– 30%
  • Experience
  • Must have 3+ yrs experience in a Supplier QualityEngineering role for a medical device or pharmaceutical company. Typically 8-10years of successful experience in related field
  • Understanding of FDA regulations and ISO13485.
  • Must be willing work EST hours  

The pay range for this position is $122,00.00 - $167,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
