  Tessent DFT ProductEngineering Intern

  Siemens EDA has an opportunity for a 2024 ProductEngineering Summer Intern to be part of an extended international ProductManagement team working within the Tessent product team. The internship willlast for 12-14 weeks.

  Tessent is the leading supplier of software solutions fortesting semiconductor devices. This position presents a great opportunity to getexposure to product engineering while working with leading experts andinventors in the field of design-for-test (DFT).

  As a DFT product engineering intern, you willwork on projects related to Integrated Circuit (IC) test and learn from workingon various DFT technology areas. Specific DFT technologies you’ll work on may include:

  • RTL design editing and insertion of DFT structures
  • utomatic test pattern generation (ATPG)
  • Embeddeddeterministic test (EDT)
  • MemoryBIST/Repair (MBIST/BISR)
  • Boundaryscan (IEEE 1149.1)
  • IJTAG(IEEE 1687)
  • Multi-die2.5D/3D DFT (IEEE 1838)
  • HierarchicalSoC DFT solutions
  • StreamingScan Network (SSN)
  • Analogtest

  In addition to building your knowledge of DFT,you’ll improve your problem solving and analytical skills and learn effectivecommunication techniques, both written and oral. Get hands-on experience with Tessentsoftware tools to build and validate test cases for existing reference flows aswell as new DFT technologies under development. Learn how to run in-depth benchmarksbefore analyzing and presenting data in a meaningful manner to the team ofengineers.

  Organization Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, or a first year Master’s student, in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering with a focus on VLSI design
  • Familiarity with TCL scripting language is preferred
  • Familiarity with 2.5D or 3D chip packaging architecture is beneficial
  • Familiarity with DFT methods like scan test, MBIST, or Logic BIST (LBIST) is a big plus
  • Familiarity with different memory architectures like dual port or single-port SRAM and DRAM is preferred for the MBIST path.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel PowerPoint)
  • Passionate, driven, and proactive
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective organizational and time management skills

• The hourly range for this position is $22.00 to $50.00.Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
