Simulation and Test Solutions (STS) - Services practice
The Engineering and Consulting Services team develops state-of-the-art solutions for leading global companies in product ideation, development, and deployment. We pride ourselves in providing best-in class technologies, unique solutions, and engineering best practices to realize innovative mechatronic systems. Such smart solutions are sought by the industry to continuously enhance product performance, energy efficiency, user experience, and sustainability and to engineer them faster to the market profitably. Combining traditional development techniques with bleeding-edge methods using Digital Twins, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, large-scale High-Performance simulations, and Virtual Testing, we provide unique capabilities as a preferred development partner for corporations developing the next generation of smart sustainable products.
Qualifications:
Pursuing Bachelor's/ Master's/ Ph.D. in Engineering with special interests in electric drives and power conversion devices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of physics/mathematical concepts
Passion for design, engineering, and multi-physics modeling of different electrification architectures Good verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and results-driven
Self-motivated team player who works quickly, independently, and on schedule
It would be great if you also have ...
• Basic knowledge of system physics modeling and/or control system modeling with simulation tools such as Amesim, MATLAB/Simulink/ Stateflow, Dymola, GT-Suite, etc.
• Knowledge of power electronics concepts, converters and inverters, and mathematical modeling of such systems.
• Basic knowhow in Machine Learning and NN (Neural Network) techniques
Challenge / Responsibilities
You will be part of the STS Services Practice team and you will work closely with a Senior engineer to develop solutions for topics and projects on:
• Modeling and simulation of power converter and inverter topologies
• Running studies on electric power generation concepts
• Use of machine learning algorithms to accelerate system simulation
• Analyzing simulation results and providing insights on detected problems
The hourly range for this position is $22.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
