Baseline Requirements:
- Currently enrolled as a university student pursuing a Bachelors, Master's or PhD
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship by the company
- Expected graduation in 2025 or 2026

Software Engineer Intern
(Research & Development focus)
At the Siemens EDA, we develop disruptivesemiconductor chip design CAD software, including the AnalogFastSPICE™ (AFS), the world’s fastestnanometer accurate circuit verification platform. AFS is used by over 200 semiconductor companies worldwide fortheir toughest circuit verification challenges while designing high-speed I/Os,PLLs, ADCs/DACs, CMOS image sensors, RFICs, and embedded memory.
This position will be part of the AFS R&Dteam, focused on EDA software tools development. As a member ofa highly proficient, productive, and motivated R&D team, developingindustry’s leading circuit simulator, using cutting edge software developmenttechniques, you will get opportunities to:
· Prototype newalgorithms to help AFS R&D members implement new AFS features
· Conduct performanceand capacity analysis of algorithms and implementation
· Research andevaluate 3rd party software packages to help implement new featuresor improve existing ones
· Makepresentations to the R&D team and write reports on findings and conclusions.
Requirements
· Currently enrolled inBS, MS or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics,or other relevant discipline
· Outstanding academicrecord
· Excellent verbal andcommunication skills
· Proficient with at leastone of the common scripting languages (preferably Python)
· Proficient with at leastone of the common high level programming languages (preferably C++)
· Advanced coursework inLinear Algebra, Algorithms and Operating Systems
Desirable:
· Coursework in one ormore of:
o Numerical Analysis
o Electronic DesignAutomation topics
o Machine Learning
o Analog Circuit Analysis
o Computer Architecture
o Compiler Design
· Experience using Matlab
The hourly range for this position is $22.00 - $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
