    OPC Modeling Product Engineer Intern 

    Integrated Circuit Solutions – Simens EDA 

     

    Siemens EDA, a global leader in Electronic Design Automation, is seeking a full-time OPC Modeling Product Engineer Intern for our Fremont location. This role is open to F1 Visa students and involves supporting the deployment of Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) and advanced Resolution Enhancement Technology (RET) tools in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Interns can look forward to contributing to cutting-edge projects involving machine learning applications in OPC modeling. This position offers the chance to work on OPC modeling extensions focusing on enhancing model accuracy for advanced semiconductor nodes. Candidates who are passionate about the intersection of machine learning and semiconductor technology are encouraged to apply for this exciting opportunity to join a world-class team at Siemens EDA. 

     

      

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Develop accurate modeling solutions for patterning processes focusing on A14 node requirements. 
    • Support the integration of Machine Learning models like CNN and GNN into OPC modeling. 
    • Work closely with software engineering, product marketing, and customers to deliver innovative RET solutions. 
    • Contribute to the research and development activities to improve model accuracy using advanced machine learning techniques. 

     

    Qualifications: 

    • Pursuing or holding a degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields (BS, MS, PhD). 
    • Strong interest in software technology for RET and semiconductor processing. 
    • Familiarity with Unix and Linux OS. 
    • Experience with scripting in TCL, Perl, Python, or C programming is desirable. 
    • Knowledge of photoresist chemistry, OPC modeling, and lithographic processing is a plus. 
    • Strong written and oral communication skills are required.

    The hourly range for this position is $22.00 to $50.00 for technical roles or $18.00 to $44.00 for non-technical positions. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
